I thought Trump’s saying he wouldn’t allow the CiA to spy on North Korea I thought it was grounds for instantly starting a full impeachment hearing.
Now he shameless says he’d willing take opposition research from a foreign power. Of course the only foreign power likely to give him any ill-gotten information is Russia, not Norway as he suggested.
"If somebody called from a country, Norway, [and said] ‘we have information on your opponent' -- oh, I think I'd want to hear it.”
Aside from essentially admitting collusion with Russia in the past and wanting to engage in it in the future, the using of Norway as an example makes this one of the most asinine statements Trump has ever made.
Norway?
Norway?
Give me a break.
(After I wrote this during the handover between Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell they talked about and made fun of the issue with Norway.)
Trump obviously must have a thing for Norway.
(Oddly and of course unrelated, Norway is being mentioned in today’s news because one of the takers attacked in the Guff of Oman is owned y a Norwegian company.)
Remember this story?
Trump prefers immigrants from Norway over 'shithole' countries? He must not know anything about Norway's history.
Here’s a quote: “Gratulerer,* my fellow Norwegian Americans, for a United States president at long last has invited our cousins toughing it out in the Old Country to migrate to the land of freedom and chronic traumatic encephalopathy — not like those undesirables inhabiting “shithole” countries.” (* Gratulerer means congratulations.)
Yesterday I wrote a little story that I thought deserved to be the top story of the day about Kim Jung Un’s half brother being a CIA asset, and when it came in the Wall Street Journal and the president was asked about it, Trump sided with Kim Jung Un over the CIA. He assured Kim and the world that under his watch he’d never allow the CIA to spy on North Korea.
I hope the Democratic leaders in the House and Senate are asking Nancy Pelosi what it will take for her to inmate full impeachment hearings. They should demand to know “if not this, what?”
Note that the Washington Monument is in the background of Pelosi’s official photograph. It is somewhat blurry but clearly visible and certainly not there by accident. I’m tweeting this image to her, but I doubt she’ll ever see it.
I put a poll on my previous story about the CIA asking “WHAT WILL BE THE IMPACT OF THIS STORY? ON THE SCALE HERE, 5 BEING MAJOR WHAT IMPACT WILL THIS HAVE?”
506 Kossaks took the poll and showed they were hardly optimistic about this story having any impact at all.
So let me put the same poll on about this story:
