Sarah Huckabee Sanders will now appear on Fox News as a political commentator and analyst supporting Donald Trump. Which is exactly what she did in the past, since Sanders’ appearances on Fox & Friends outnumbered the times she bumbled into the White House Press Room by a factor of ten. It can be assumed that Sanders will no longer be saddled with the pitiful six-figure salary she was awarded to not speak to the press, and will now be lying for some serious dollars. Whether she will be dying her hair blonde has not been announced.
During her last months as press secretary, Sanders was as much a constant on Fox morning news-like programming as any of the hosts. Over the same period, she went months without stepping into the press room or fielding questions from journalists.
But of course, Sanders’ impressive record for not doing a damn thing she was being paid to do by the American public while warming up her act for Fox is already in danger of falling to a new challenger. New press secretary Stephanie Grisham has given exactly zero press briefings since she took the post. Plus she took the spot as spokesperson for first Melania Trump then Donald after being fired for one job for cheating on expense accounts, then fired again for plagiarism. And she’s racked up an impressive record of arrests and DUI charges—including one that’s come since she started working for Trump.
Not that it’s a contest. If there’s any question, they’re both equally terrible.
