I know it’s not exactly news that Trump is a lying sack of decomposing manure, but I thought it important that you have these facts at hand if talking to a Red State cousin about the windfall Japanese customers are poised to present to corn growers thanks to the top notch negotiating skills of the dumbass-in-chief.
Sunday morning the White House put out the below tweet claiming that, as drumpf lied...
"We have excess corn in various parts of our country with our farmers because China did not do what they said they were going to do. And Prime Minister Abe Shinzo on behalf of Japan, they're going to be buying all of that corn."
All that corn.
Unless Japan plans on shelling out a metric fu**ton of yen to dump corn into the ocean, that ain’t gonna happen….

As the table above shows China’s domestic consumption of corn, in 2016, stood at 231 Million Metric Tons while Japan consumed a rather paltry 15 MMTs.
And Japan’s consumption of corn is actually trending down.
If it isn’t the case that Japan has plans to increase corn consumption by some 1500% this year, or has decided to building an offshore Corny Island, I don’t see that happening.
