A friend posted this observation on Facebook:
Our President just tweeted that we Americans are “loaded up with money” from the tax cut. Just checking is everybody “loaded up”? I hadn’t been watching that closely and did not notice that we were all doing so well. You might want to check you bank accounts to see if there is a big load in there that you missed.
Nostalgia prompted me to post this reply. It may be re-stating the obvious, but there’s no harm in the occasional reminder:
Most of the time that he says anything I find it brings back memories. Pravda, the official Russian communist newspaper, used to do the same exact thing, publishing whatever was expedient to advance the agenda of the Soviet Empire, with utter disregard for whether or not the statement was actually *true*. Truth is irrelevant with propaganda.
The 2017 tax bill was written primarily for business. The much smaller tax cut for the rest of us was merely a small bribe to get ordinary people to think the tax cut was a good thing, rather than the disaster it actually was.
Which makes the following video all the funnier (or more depressing, depending on how you look at it). Watch it to the end.
