As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Here is K’s poured pot. It has a very cool wide shape. This is the 2nd in a series, both very cool.
KK’s terra cotta pot.
We both did some canvasses too. This one is my best effort of the day. I like the cells that formed in the pink paint. The orange did not make any cells, even though the chemical mix was the same.
It is rather bright. I poured the paint back and forth across the canvas and then swiped it with a wet rag.
This is KK’s experimental one. She is watching an artist on YouTube who has a different method and she hopes to do better the next time. Lil Zen didn’t like it atall! But I know where she came from and is going and I think it is interesting.
KK’s sun burst.
One of the things I find amazing about this, but obvious when you think about it, we both use the same paints. We mix up about 6-8 colors,( paint, Floetrol, water, and a few drops of silicone that makes the cells,) and both use them all but the results are extremely different. The order you put them in the cup, the amount you use of each, whether you pour it down the side like a beer or into the middle like syrup, whether you dump it in the middle or pour it onto the canvas in a wavy string, it all makes for alternative universes.
I find Tuesdays don’t come fast enough right now. It is so nice to be away from the news, playing with childlike whimsical bits of color. This short period of time will end when she gets a job but we are loving it right now.
How are you doing?
