On Thursday, former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe filed a lawsuit against the FBI and Justice Department for improperly terminating him. His lawsuit asks that he be reinstated as the deputy director of the FBI so that he can earn his full pension. NBC reports the lawsuit states that "Trump demanded Plaintiff's personal allegiance, he sought retaliation when Plaintiff refused to give it, and Sessions, Wray, and others served as Trump's personal enforcers rather than the nation's highest law enforcement officials, catering to Trump's unlawful whims instead of honoring their oaths to uphold the Constitution."
McCabe was fired back in March 2018, after 21 years of “unblemished” service, just two days shy of earning his pension. The pettiness of the act seemed a non-partisan issue. Earlier this week, former FBI agent Peter Strzok filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department in DC District Court for backpay. Strzok was one of the first FBI casualties in Donald Trump’s attempts to orchestrate the illusion of a grand witch hunt conspiracy against him over his ties to Russia and other foreign monies.
