It is Friday and a new wave of Climate protests is taking place around the world today. Young people from over 170 countries, from New Zealand to India, from Africa to Italy and from Sweden to Canada are turning out in large numbers, re-energized after Greta Thunberg’s powerful speech at the U.N. this week.
Greta will lead a Climate strike in Montreal today, where U.N. aviation leaders are gathering to debate plane emission targets. An estimated 300,000 people are expected join the march, along with PM Justin Trudeau and Green Party chief Elizabeth May.
