Well well well — I wonder whose idea this was?
Does Trump even know where Crimea is on a map?
You can bet your last dollar his pal Putin does …
Trump Says He Hopes Zelensky and Putin Can Be BFFs
“It’s just one of those things,” President Trump said of the annexation of Crimea.
Questions about the nature of President Donald Trump’s relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have prompted the House of Representatives to launch an impeachment inquiry. But in his first in-person appearance with the leader he allegedly pressured to investigate his political rivals, Trump appeared more interested in matching Zelensky up with another unlikely ally: Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I really hope that Russia—because I really believe that President Putin would like to do something—I really hope that you and President Putin can get together and solve your problem,” Trump said at the United Nations on Wednesday, as Zelensky sat stone-faced. “That would be a tremendous achievement, and I know that you’re trying to do that.”
“You’ve really made some progress with Russia,” Trump added, telling Zelensky that “it’d be nice to end that whole disaster.”
The prospect of such a friendship is, in a word, unlikely. Ukraine and the Russian Federation have been engaged in a slow-motion war since Putin’s invasion and subsequent occupation of the Ukrainian region of Crimea in 2014, which has resulted in the displacement of 1.5 million Ukrainians and thousands of deaths. from the Whistleblower complaint:
On 9 August, the President told reporters: “I think [President Zelenskyy] is going to make a deal with President Putin, and he will be invited to the White House. And we look forward to seeing him. He’s already been invited to the White House, and he wants to come. And I think he will. He’s a very reasonable guy. He wants to see peace in Ukraine, and I think he will be coming very soon, actually.”
It seems that Putin has been following the details of Impeachment Week quite closely. As Russia just fired this “warning shot” over Trump’s Secret Server’s content, with respect the “private conversations” between Putin and Trump:
Asked if Moscow is worried that the White House could similarly publish transcripts of Trump’s calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that “we would like to hope that it wouldn’t come to that in our relations, which are already troubled by a lot of problems.”

Putin’s spokesman also added this, when speaking to reporters: [usatoday 09-27-19]
Speaking in a conference call with reporters, he emphasized that the publication of the Trump-Zelenskiy call is an internal U.S. issue, but added that it was "quite unusual" to release a confidential call between leaders.
Here are a few of the highlights from that Putin-Trump chronology of calls: [up to 1-15-2019]
Nov. 14, 2016
First Phone Call
Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump spoke for the first time, by phone. The two men agreed “on the absolutely unsatisfactory state of bilateral relations” between the United States and Russia, according to a statement from the Kremlin. Trump’s office said the president-elect “noted to President Putin that he is very much looking forward to having a strong and enduring relationship with Russia and the people of Russia.”

The List goes on … Never a transcript. Never a summary — that is EVER made public, at least.
Trump reportedly also had a call with Putin [July 31, 2019] around the time of his “Do me a Favor” call to the new President of Ukraine. Just checking in, to talk about the weather, no doubt.
Wouldn’t you like to read the contents of that call? Did Putin tell Trump to get Zelensky to meet with him? Did Trump say “Yes Boss, you got it”?
Well, if that call is tucked away on Trump’s Top Secret Server, Adam Schiff wants to read it too.
We all should.
Afterall, its only America’s National Security, serving as Trump’s poker chips. Chips that he has been all too eager to bargain away — for a chance to stay out of jail, with another election interference operation in 2020 …
Election Interference? Trump has no problem with it: “Everybody does it!”
