Greetings and welcome to yet another bit of fluff with pretty much the same intro as last week’s offering.
I’ve got a few photos from a walk in the country, a drawing and treats!
Last weekend we went to visit some relatives who live in a rapidly expanding village to the east of Prague. They’re in an area of recreational cabins and Mrs. the Werelynx’s grandfather built one of the first ones— I think way back in the 1940s.
Many, many new homes have been built and are being built in the area as the surrounding fields are subdivided into parcels and sold off.
Speaking of relatives, my local brewers asked for a new member to join the beer label family.
I hope they’re satisfied with the changes I made.
Yeah, it was shades of my old days drawing for advertising companies. Can’t sell beer with pictures of chubby people. Please, just ignore the hundreds of existing beer labels around here with pictures of chubby people. You can be thankful you weren’t in the apartment when I opened that email. Oddly enough, I first thought to try to carve some chub off her cheeks with my computer, but the results were not to my liking and I ended up just getting out the original picture and retouched it by adding a bit of ink wash here and blotting up a bit of ink there. If they’re not happy with the deflated grande dame I’ll probably have to redraw her completely.
In other scribbler news I spent much of my drawing time this week getting to know a man’s face for a caricature. I had an idea for a pose, but I haven’t been able to make it work in my thumbnail drawings. Oh well, back to the ol’ drawing board.
Thanks for stopping by.
