When White House adviser Hope Hicks received positive COVID-19 test results on Thursday, Donald Trump’s team tried to cover up those results and keep them “private.” But once the news leaked out, Trump was forced to admit that he also had tested positive. Since then, there has been an anxious scramble to test everyone who has been in contact with the Trump team over the past week. Based on word that both Trump and Hicks were showing symptoms on Wednesday, they must have contracted COVID-19 no later than Monday. That means that everyone at Tuesday night’s debate was potentially exposed, along with everyone at Trump’s rallies and fundraisers. Maybe even everyone who attended the introduction of Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett on Saturday.
So where do things stand? Who has been tested, and what are the results as of Friday afternoon?

Updated 8:26 ET to add Republican Senator Thom Tillis and another unnamed member of the White House press corps. Just one week ago, Tillis was insisting that the COVID-19 death toll was fake.
“I think when the final accounting is done,” said Tillis, “you are going to see, sadly, that the number of people who died may have died from an underlying condition at the same time that they had COVID."
Updated 8:32 ET to add Marsha Blackburn.
