Matt Gaetz is a poisonous embarassment to his District, Florida and the United States Congress. Just last week he appeared at a rally where the Proud Boys were security.
Gaetz Must Go!
Fortunately, Phil Ehr is a great candidate to replace him on November 3.
Phil Ehr is a U.S. Navy veteran who rose from Seaman to Commander in a 26-year active duty career. He flew reconnaissance in the Cold War and combat support in Desert Storm. He provided strategic advice to senior leaders in Washington, London, and NATO in the post Cold War and post 9/11 eras.
Here are just four examples of Gaetz’s extremist ties:
I. Gaetz Invited Holocaust Denier Charles Johnson as his State of the Union Guest
Matt Gaetz must go if for no other reason than his close association with right wing extremists. `In 2018, Rep. Gaetz invited Holocaust Denier Charles Charles to attend the State of the Union address. Last week, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action launched this ad accusing Matt Gaetz of promoting white nationalism. As the man in the ad asks: “Who does that?”
II. Gaetz hired a far right supporter who was fired by the White House for his extremist associations.
In August 2018, the White House fired Darren Beattie for his associations with white extrmist groups. Beattie attended a 2016 conference of the H.L. Mencken Club, started in 2008 and regularly attended by well-known white nationalists such as Richard Spencer. Beattie admits speaking at the conference but denies Spencer was there that year. The schedule for the 2016 conference did list panels and speeches by white nationalist Peter Brimelow and two writers, John Derbyshire and Robert Weissberg, who were both fired in 2012 from the conservative magazine National Review for espousing racist views.
But this was no problem for Matt Gaetz, who hired Beattie right after he was shown the White House gate. Gaetz also paid $28,000 to a Wyoming company controlled by Beattie for services as a “consultant.” When this was exposed, the money was returned, but it sure seems like Gaetz likes to take care of his extremist buddies.
III. Gaetz supports Laura Loomer
Gaetz endorses Laura Loomer, noted for being expelled from many social media platforms for extremists views. (He was joined by convicted felon, Roger Stone.) Loomer is also noted for chaining herself to Twitter’s office building to protest her expulsion.
IV. Gaetz is “proud to be in the corner of QAnon supporter Marjorie Taylor-Greene
"Music to my ears. Proud to be in your corner, Marjorie!" Gaetz tweeted, after Greene won her primary. In additon to supporting QAnon, Greene has also made offensive remarks about Black people, Jews and Muslims in Facebook videos,
Gaetz is comfortable with some of the most hateful, dangerous people in this country, reason enough to boot him out by supporting Phil Ehr:
