Just in from CNN, the Trump campaign’s requested recount in Milwaukee has Biden up by a few votes — 132 to be precise:
President-elect Joe Biden saw a small net gain in votes as Milwaukee County, Wisconsin's largest, certified its presidential general election results Friday after a recount requested by the Trump campaign.
The results showed a net gain of 132 votes for Biden, with President Donald Trump receiving 134,482 votes and Biden receiving 317,527 after the recount, the Milwaukee County Board of Canvassers announced Friday night.
Which would be funny if it were not so sad — sad because of the ridiculous waste in resources that Trump’s hissy fits are creating. Even in cases where the Trump campaign has to pay for these recounts, it’s a complete waste of effort. Can you imagine being a poll worker and being asked to, yet again, count what you already counted because Trump’s diaper is getting fuller?
Fortunately all of this has a time limit: December 14, when the Electoral College meets. But Trump is clearly intent on demonstrating that he will drag the whole country through the mud before he exits.
