First and foremost, I am thankful that you won the election. I see that as a definite move in the correct direction. I sincerely believe you are hard at work building a team of people who, unlike the previous administration, know their asses from their elbows in the offices you will offer to them.
An unprecedented number of Americans have voted for you. That’s the good news. Unfortunately an unprecedented number of Americans voted for your opponent. Presumably and hopefully the worst person this country will ever allow to take residence in the White House.
You want to reach across the aisle and build a bipartisan government that works for everybody. That’s admirable, but all I can muster in response is a sarcastically uttered “good luck with that endeavor.”
An alarming number of members of Congress refuse to acknowledge your victory. The majority of conservative Americans question it as well. Already, your son, Hunter Biden, is filling the void left by Hillary Clinton as the Republican punching bag for all manner of lunacy. Unless they find a better target he’ll be the one in the box for the next 4 years, 8 years, or quite possibly longer.
Reaching across the aisle is going to be met with a great deal of resistance. I hope you bring a sledge hammer. I thought President Obama was treated poorly by them. It appears they’ve got much worse in store for you.
Proceed with caution. I’m glad you’re going to be in charge but I certainly don’t envy your position.
