The diary currently atop the Rec list, “Trumps pulled $617 million from campaign — largest campaign fraud in history,” relies on another “mega-tweetstorm” from notorious serial liar and conspiracy theorist Seth Abramson.
Abramson bases his inane, exaggerated, falsely-concluding “mega-tweetstorm” on an article published by Business Insider. Had the diarist bothered to read that article rather than relying on Abramson’s bullshit, the diary author would have found that nowhere in that article, or in subsequent reporting at numerous other outlets, is it claimed that the actions of the ever-grifting Trump family (including Kushner) constitute fraud.
It may be fraud, but we do not yet have enough information to make that determination.
But speaking of frauds, Seth Abramson is a fraud. He has continuously posted false information that led to erroneous or outright insane, conspiracy-driven conclusions and he has done this for years. In fact, I believe Abramson’s “mega-tweetstorms” being used as the basis for work at Daily Kos were banned by kos himself at the height of the Mueller probe to prevent Daily Kos from becoming just another version of Breitbart or InfoWars on the left.
To conclude, the diversion and funneling of Trump campaign funds through a murky third-party entity in order to skim off funds to family members is skeezy and slimy and could possibly be fraud. But we don’t know that as the actual reporting on this story makes clear, and it’s possible it may all be perfectly legal due to our corrupt and fucked-up campaign financing laws.
But please don’t use Seth Abramson as a source here. He is not trustworthy, reliable or honest. He’s a self-aggrandizing lying sack of shit.
