The Bloomberg campaign is having a sad, upset at some mild “vandalism,” such as an “Eat the rich” sign pasted to the window of its Flint, Michigan, headquarters, or “Corporate pig” spray-painted at its Ann Arbor office.
Gee, I wonder why Democrats in Michigan might have a problem with Bloomberg. Perhaps it might have something to do with the $3 million that Bloomberg spent to elect Republican Gov. Rick Snyder? He did so both on the air and also in directly fundraising for the Republican at his home.
Furthermore, it was Rick Snyder who led the state during the Flint water travesty. It was a Snyder appointee who switched the city’s drinking water to the polluted Flint River in 2014 in order to save money. “Flint’s water was tainted by lead and linked to a deadly Legionnaires’ outbreak. But government officials, including members of Mr. Snyder’s administration, dismissed those complaints for months and assured residents that their tap water was safe. Errors by state, local and federal officials exacerbated the crisis and delayed the response,” summarized The New York Times.
But by all means, be upset at some mild vandalism, as opposed to the wanton destruction of an entire city (and, really, state) by Bloomberg’s own enthusiastic, well-funded choice for governor.
