A (very awesome!) county supervisor in Black Hawk pointed out that what he reported to the state was NOT what was in the final results. He made a post at the time (see the above image). Well, turns out some dude on the internet figured out that what was being posted didn’t exactly reflect that and Deval Patrick’s numbers and Tom Steyer’s numbers looked inflated.
Anyway, this is currently "Blowing up" on twitter, and even though it's already been rectified, I think that at BEST this is blatant incompetence. At worst, something different. And certainly newsworthy.
How many other times did this happen and NOT get caught?
Soooooo, I went from decrying people yelling about conspiracies, including some of my own Iowa canvassing groups, to finding actual errors in multiple counties that effect the final total and the fate of the Iowa caucus.
Life is funny that way.
Again, to be clear… if there is a conspiracy, I feel this is a conspiracy of carelessless or mistakes.
Anyway, myself and many others canvassed in Black Hawk county, where this was first discovered and something didn't add up. Boy howdy, was that true.
Spreadsheets are hard:
So here's the deal. This isn't a conspiracy fantasy... this is real. Actual errors that were found by people not involved in the reporting. I really wish it wasn’t and I really wish this wasn’t my first blog post in a really long time, but here it is. For my bona fides: I’ve been part of this community since Markos first made it, I fit in like a sore thumb now, but i’ve never really left.
You can find the Iowa State Party results here, to verify any of this for your own self if you don’t trust me or any of the findings.
Dave, I love ya… but they really aren’t!

EDIT- the Iowa Democratic Party has since made adjustments to all reported instances and they now show correct, there has been no acknowlegement or transparency about this of any kind. But the results are now correct. Nice!
