A New Way to Steal from the Taxpayer

en. Lamar Alexander (R-TV) and Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) devised a new method of robbing the public.  This is a new Libertarian wet dream.  The Orange Shitgibbon administration has now been so successful at commandeering equipment and redirecting it to for profit organizations that the two Senators thought “we should try a hand at this.”  Raw Story reports, www.rawstory.com/…,

“By incorporating a shark tank environment in government research, we can more quickly develop the necessary technologies to get more tests into circulation. While there is a risk of failure with any research — in science, success is not guaranteed — we also could produce the one mighty great white shark that will help us combat this disease,” they wrote.

Here’s a bright idea… How about funding known entities with track records and mandates related to providing for health and the common good?  I dunno’… perhaps… WHO, CDC, NIH, FDA, or other governmental organizations.  Perhaps, throwing money at published scientists with proven track records in microbiology and virus research.  Or… you know…. just go with their idea… throw more money at millionaires and billionaires who have no need of the money, and no idea what to do with it.  The already insanely wealthy idle investor class need more vacation homes, more Porsches, more  yachts.  It would be unfair to deny them that.  Hell, nine vacation homes and three yachts is not enough to sequester themselves from the unwashed masses, who should be out there, working to improve the stock market for the idle, ignorant rich.
