Nothing much today other than the fact that I went outdoors for the first time in three days. And I did more than simply take a trip to the store in order to get some needed supplies.
I went out to meet up with my best friend at a designated spot, which gave me some time to get outdoors. At the time it was a little overcast, a little sunny and about 60 degrees.
Perfect.
Of course, I went outside masked and trying to keep six feet away from everyone as we walked out on the street and did go to a couple of stores.
I had not seen him since IL Governor Pritzker declared the parameters of our shelter-in place order.
Which seems like forever but it’s only been a month
Went to a couple of stores, we talked with each other at a safe distance and there were generally no worries other than...well, we started walking on one street where the sidewalks were getting narrow and a little more crowded than I liked.
Too many people, not enough social distancing.
Two things:
1) I need to get back to a point where I go outside at least once a day. I don’t have to meet up with anyone, it was LOVELY outside today and it did lighten my mood.
2) Do all of these people participating in these hideous “open up” protests really think that the rest of us want to be inside the house (if we have one), socially distanced, and not spreading the coronavirus around?
Or do they want to be just a little extra which...I mean, that’s what those types always want to do, right?

Brillig's ObDisclaimer: The decision to publish each nomination lies with the evening's Diarist and/or Comment Formatter. My evenings at the helm, I try reeeeallllyy hard to publish everything without regard to content. I really do, even when I disagree personally with any given nomination. "TopCommentness" lies in the eyes of the nominator and of you, the reader - I leave the decision to you. I do not publish self-nominations (ie your own comments) and if I ruled the world, we'd all build community, supporting and uplifting instead of tearing our fellow Kossacks down. From WolverineforTJatAW:
This comment by nancyjones in chloris creator’s Good New Roundup this morning. Funny, true, hopeful. Excellent.
From belinda ridgewood:
The Abbreviated Pundit Roundup is a veritable hotbed of Top Comments, always. (Greg Dworkin wrote today's.) In this case, Diana in NoVa made a comment about Jared Kushner that touched upon his appearance. gchaucer2 had an observation, bunkai saw it a bit differently, and kikob wrapped it up with a saying that you don't even need my low level of high school German to appreciate.
