As reported in Rawstory, Father Theodore Rothrock of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Carmel, IN sent this message to his parishioners regarding BLM: “The only lives that matter are their own and the only power they seek is their own... They are wolves in wolves [sic] clothing, masked thieves and bandits, seeking only to devour the life of the poor and profit from the fear of others. They are maggots and parasites at best, feeding off the isolation of addiction and broken families, and offering to replace and [sic] current frustration and anxiety with more misery and greater resentment.”
That’s a lot of projection there. It seems the good father is upset about the BLM movement and the pulling down of Confederate statues. I’m not a Christian, but I was raised Catholic and attended a Catholic school for 8 years. The anti-war church I grew up in was turned into a homophobic and anti-abortion focused church under the leadership of “saint” John Paul II in the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to that, and with the help of Joey the Rat (Cardinal Ratzinger—future Pope Benedict XVI) who led the Roman Inquisition, JPII enabled and protected pedophiles and made the church a sanctuary for them. Under his leadership he elevated the worst people in the church into prominent positions and people like Rothrock flocked to join this church that welcomed them and rewarded them. The louder you were about controlling women’s bodies and hating gay people, the higher you rose. Pedophiles will go to great lengths to get access to children, and an institution that would protect them, and would elevate them if they expressed the right views, would have been irresistible.
Rothrock was a teacher, and at one time the President, of Guerin Catholic High School located in the Catholic Diocese of Lafayette, in Indiana. In 1997 the Indianapolis Star published a series of investigative articles by Linda Graham Caleca and Richard D. Walton, on the sexual abuse of children in this Diocese, the first entitled "Faith Betrayed."
An investigation by The Indianapolis Star and The Indianapolis News revealed that at least 16 current and former priests have been accused of sexual abuse or misconduct during the past 25 years. Forced out of silence by the newspapers' investigation, diocese officials admitted to 12 troubled priests and as many as 40 victims in the past dozen years alone.
All this in a diocese with just 75 active priests.
This is the Diocese that employs Rothrock, and the culture that he is a part of. Nothing upsets me more than the sexual abuse of children, and someday I might forgive the Catholic Church but I will never forget their abuse of 1000s of children around the world. So when I saw this loon was a priest I decided to google his name and added “pedophile” to the search.
While I was unable to find his name in the investigative articles, there was a mention of an unnamed priest: “This priest, who has a history of alcoholism, was accused of sexual involvement with one or more adult men. The priest recently returned to the diocese from months of therapy for an undisclosed problem. He denied wrongdoing but declined an interview.” I do not care if he is gay, and I believe all priests should be allowed to have loving and consensual relationships with whomever they please, and I do not know if this is Rothrock. However, I did find the following. From Abuse Tracker:

A well-known area priest has resigned his post at Guerin Catholic High School following a weekend DUI arrest.
Father Ted Rothrock was head of the Carmel Deanery, pastor at St. Elizabeth Seton Church and president of the high school in Noblesville.
This odious man was head of the Deanery, and President of a high school. He recently was announced as the new Pastor of Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel. Many links associated with him have already been taken down. He has probably been spreading his hateful and intolerant views for years. What will happen to him now, I wonder?
