Today, Daily Kos announced findings from a statewide survey of Iowa commissioned through Civiqs. The poll of 865 registered voters was conducted online from June 6-8 and reveals Democrat Theresa Greenfield defeating incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst 48%-45%. Joe Biden and Donald Trump are tied in the race for president 46%-46%.
“This Daily Kos/Civiqs poll brings exciting news for Iowa Democrats,” said Carolyn Fiddler, communications director for Daily Kos. “Voters in the Hawkeye State appear to be souring on Republican candidates, saddling Ernst with a 52% unfavorable rating and going from Trump 51%-42% in 2016 to parity with Biden in this poll—a nine-point swing. This poll indicates that Iowa is a top-tier presidential and U.S. Senate battleground this fall.”
Daily Kos is the nation's largest online progressive media and activism hub and leads the way in supporting Democrats across the country, raising over $3.1 million for candidates and campaigns in small, grassroots donations in the 2020 cycle.
