SekritLife3 — Chapter 17: Celebrate All In Da Home
Peeps, please remember fireworks scare our animal friends:
Firework displays can be "potentially dangerous and frightening" to animal companions, a Tuesday press release from Anchorage Animal Care and Control said.
Pet owners can keep their furry friends safe by staying home, keeping their pet inside with all doors and windows closed and keeping televisions or radios on to drown out any potential loud fireworks. If a pet does get out of the house over the weekend, prepare now by making sure they have current pet tags on their collar. If a pet has a microchip, make sure contact information is up to date with the microchip company and the city.
Here’s a list of do’s and don’t’s. Please read it.
It’s coming up on that day when humans and their companions celebrate bigly.
.
You know which one it is.
.
Some may even greet you with a long-revered phrase — May da Fourth be wif you!
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT —
- You know how this works, but as always, a gentle reminder:
- Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Goggies are dogs, too, and moggies are cats. Birds...are birds! Peeps are people. PWB Peeps are Pooties, Woozle, Birds People.
There you are, going about your normal day [if that’s possible, given times], being your full self.
.
You are managing all the little bumps that come in a day with composure and flamboyance.
.
We spend these days looking about us at the puzzles unfolding all around us.
.
Others are out and about, being safe as a family.
.
Some others are out and practicing safety and practicing spatial distancing .
.
Yet others are at home practicing magical realism…
.
Some are paying attention to what day is coming up, and are listening to an audible version of the story of behind-the-scenes of the Fourth.
.
There was a beautiful land, and it was greatly gifted by Mother Nature.
.
The feathered and the furr were special to this place.
.
Some were nearly lost forever, but making a strong comeback.
.
Some came from other parts of the world.
.
Some were brought.
.
And many others came flocking, over time.
.
And over the years and generations, many wrote down the doings, comings and goings and actions.
.
The new place became a major world power.
.
Some expressed their love of this place with a cloth they flew on a pole.
.
And yet, many others in these times are caught up in simple survival and safety.
.
And others are simply too caught up in their own needs.
.
