Maybe this is already widely known, but was news to me! Since I haven't been feeling 100% the last few days decided to go ahead and get a drive through Covid test. Great, can sign-up and go get a test the same day! Fantastic! And then... wait... wait... wait…
Apparently processing these tests is very backlogged. Like 7-14 days backlogged. As in, when I look at the daily covid positives, really I'm seeing two week old data.
I'm not particularly worried about my test results, but OMG! Delays like this are a huge issue getting this thing under control. I'm a patient person and would be totally fine holing up for a couple weeks, but I can't imagine many people will go that far. Can't help feeling doomed.
