Alternate title: Giving Trump The Bird (image)
The turkey vultures above are photoshopped from pictures I took when they perched on a roof across from my house. (Right, enlarge)
I see these magnificent birds riding the
thermal wind above the Willamette River near Portland, Oregon where I live.
Sure it is a scavenger and feeds almost exclusively on carrion, otherwise known as dead meat. Look on the bright side. Unlike birds like crows which will eat anything dead or alive, or the eagle which is a predator, the turkey vulture isn't a killer.
It finds its food using its keen eyes and sense of smell, flying low enough to detect the gasses produced by the beginnings of the process of decay in dead animals. In flight, it uses thermals to move through the air, flapping its wings infrequently. It roosts in large community groups.
Is this a metaphor for Trump and hungry turkey vultures?

Afterword:
It’s been speculated that these revelations about what Trump did to enlist the DOJ in his attempt to overturn the results in Georgia may not have been an isolated incident.
.
It is possible, perhaps likely, that he used other illegal and certainly unethical means to get officials in other states to change the results. This is a benefit of postponing the Senate trial for two weeks.
.
More revelations may be forthcoming. This could influence public opinion in favor of a Senate conviction which might, just might, change the minds of enough senators currently planning to vote no to reach the critical number of 17 GOP yes votes.
