You don't have to be registered on Twitter to read tweets.
I used the illustration above which I made in a tweet which was viewed 619 times:
Preface: Why do I bother putting links in my stories? The response to my poll is disheartening to me. So far with only 13 people taking the poll it looks like everyone with one exception didn't click on a single link. Links are meant not only as references or footnotes but to expand on my stories. A reader won’t get the full story I want to tell unless they click on at least some of the links.
Poor Donald had his Twitter bird taken away and he will never, ever, ever ride on Air Force One again. There’s a new president in town and he has an official Twitter bird and his own posh Boeing 747. You can be sure he won’t be wasting our taxpayer money taking it on golf vacations.
There are Twitter accounts for @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris which appear similar or identical to the official government accounts.
It is interesting that there is an account @POTUS45 (remember him) which says it is “an archive of a Trump Administration account, maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration” but it has no tweets:
I wonder when the tweets and retweets made by Trump will be made available to the public. I also wonder who decided which photos to put on this page, especially the one of Marine One taking off with the Washington Monument in the background. This suggests that some decided to use it to illustrate the Nixonian last ride take from the White House South Lawn by Donald Trump.
My Melania Obsession
And then there’s the dearly departed Melania Trump who I admit I have an abiding dislike for and that I relish it when she gets ridiculed. She left the White House for the last time dressed in black and changed on the plane into a $3700 Gucci dress (story).
ABOVE IS A LINK.
Melania Trump’s official @FLOTUS45 page is archived with two simple photos. You can read her farewell message there.
Her personal Twitter page has a photo which I assume she choose herself. I am not sure what to make of it. To me it is spooky. I couldn’t resist the temptation to photoshop it (here).
When I looked at it I was reminded of the perfect smokey eye story about the notorious liar and newly in the news Arkansas governor wannabe Sarah Huckabee Sanders and comedian Michelle Wolf.
By way of comparison to her predecessor this is Jill Biden’s personal page.
Update: Barack and Michelle Obama both have Twitter pages:
