Republicans have never been shy about voter suppression but they have focused on disenfranchising “urban” aka democratic voters exclusively. However, the fear that previously reliable conservative voters in whiter, wealthier suburbs may continue to flip blue has prompted an AZ lawmaker to present a bill to potentially suppress the entire state!
The bill introduced by GOP Rep. Shawnna Bolick, the Republican chair of Arizona's state House Ways and Means Committee, contains a section that grants the Legislature the ability to revoke the secretary of state's certification "by majority vote at any time before the presidential inauguration”.
This is an alarming assault on democracy and should raise red flags. Frighteningly, much enthusiasm remains within the AZ GOP to perpetuate the BIG LIE of a stolen election to justify such egregious behavior. Thankfully there is bipartisan push back even in a Republican stronghold like AZ so it is unclear if such a bill would pass.
House Speaker Rusty Bowers, a Republican, rebutted President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the election results. He also dismissed the idea of the Legislature appointing its own electors to deliver the state's Electoral College votes to Trump. Democrats can also be counted on to fight this “Democracy killing bill”.

Are you concerned that Republicans will find a way to overturn a lost presidential election?
No. They can attempt it but it will fail. Constituionally the people choose the president (via the electoral college) not the legislature
Yes. That is why the Electoral College must go!
Anything can happen now that SCOTUS has been packed with hard right wingers.
Lets see how far this attempt goes them I'll decide if I should worry about it.
