Neon, Spandex and mirrored balls mixed with a solid back beat, lively organ and frisky lyrics = Disco! You may scoff, but here is an example of the best available during those times. No disputing the reality of that trend because the music will entice you to join the frenzy.

But Disco was destined to die as new musical tastes emerged. The fatal blow was captured within this short video.
There were places across the globe where activities and Disco mingled solidly and many thought the genre was permanently embedded. Skating (roller and ice) rinks were huge supporters of Disco and struggled to maintain it. Disco seemed to have found a niche.
But, critics found a way to halt Disco so new music would have a chance for radio play.
Disco was treading on thin ice and that is where it met it’s demise.
Fortunately, skating moved on to accept new sounds, sort of.
These are my ramblings when I wake in the middle of the night and drift among memories. I consider it an alternative dream state that I am happy to share. What do have to share?
