The Centers for Disease Control reports 84.1% of Americans over the age of 18 have received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine. Some 71.9% of adults are considered fully vaccinated and 39.2% have received a booster shot.
The percentage of Americans refusing the vaccine has shrunk to a little more than 15%. The CDC’s numbers do not record all vaccinations that happened over the last couple of days, and a few people can not be vaccinated for medical reasons.
Spurred on by the arrival of the Omicron variant as well as the 1200 Americans dying from the Delta variant every day, an average of 1.6 million Americans are receiving a shot daily. About 99% of current US infections are thought to be of the Delta variant.
Seven Day Average for US Vaccinations (All Ages)
First Dose 358,000
Fully Vaccinated 348,000
Booster Dose 928,000
Michigan is seeing an explosion of cases. CNN has a story from Sparrow Health Services.

"Since January, we've had about 289 deaths; 75% are unvaccinated people," Dover said. "And the very few (vaccinated people) who passed away all were more than 6 months out from their shot. So we've not had a single person who has had a booster shot die from Covid."
The FDA has approved booster shots for 16 and 17-year-olds on an emergency basis.

“Although we don’t have all the answers on the Omicron variant, initial data suggests that COVID-19 boosters help broaden and strengthen the protection against Omicron and other variants,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said in a statement. “We know that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, and I strongly encourage adolescents ages 16 and 17 to get their booster if they are at least 6 months post their initial Pfizer vaccination series.”
