Welcome to what is the 1053rd original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’ll be discusisng Johnny Teague a candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 9th Congressional District in 2020, who was looking to knock off Democratic Congressman Al Green. His poorly-written, autobiography on his website (we have no idea how someone who supposedly has five degrees could be so bad at writing an essay about themselves) jumps around from dates and mentions historical events without relevance, but mentions that he’s a pastor who’s had several failed business ventures, and just, y’know, that he believes the Founding Fathers of the United States intended there to be no separation between church and state and wanted a Christian nation. Oh, and that he tried running for office as a Democrat but failed to get a following because he couldn’t be open to same sex marriage. Otherwise, he mentions a count of being bitten by dogs six times in two prior attempts to turn for the Texas House of Representatives (all signs are he failed to qualify for the ballot in these attempts), and if we know anything, it’s that you might want to trust a dog’s judgment.
Our main reason for profiling Teague, however, is that he was spreading the Qanon conspiracy theory on his social media accounts in the buildup to the 2020 election, including videos of folks taking oaths to Qanon and linking to articles claiming that JFK Jr. faked his own death and would be returning to the public eye. Y’know, normal talk from a Congressional candidate.
Johnny Teague only managed 21.6% of the vote in the 2020 elections against Al Green, and already has registered as a candidate to run against him again in the new TX-7 district in 2022. We hope he falls flat on his face again, but hope no dogs are bothered with having to taste someone as full of s*** as he is.
