The threat now is not another insurrection. 1/6 may have been a practice run for the Radical Wrong, but it was also concentrated practice for law enforcement, intelligence, and the National Guard, including the DoD command structure, and a wake-up call for politicians and the non-denialist public. We now officially believe in domestic terrorism as an actionable matter, in a manner that Republicans used to be able to prevent.
