I can’t believe this is really happening, but it’s apparently true… The previously hacked repository of scum and villainy has arisen from the dead.

Social media platform Parler has relaunched after being taken offline in January following the storming of the United States Capitol.

On Monday, the platform, which billed itself as the "world's #1 free speech social media platform," announced via a press release that it was officially relaunching built on "sustainable independent technology" and not being reliant on "Big Tech" for its operations.

The relaunch is available to Americans "of all viewpoints" immediately, according to the company's statement. The Parler website now appears to be functioning, whereas previously it simply directed to a holding page.

According to Parler's statement, only existing users will be able to use the relaunched site for the first week. New users will be able to sign up after this time.

This has to end in a trainwreck, right?
