“I’m not here to take Nikki’s seat but I’m here to defend it”, Ryan says. “With great power comes great responsibility, some of our leaders have been very irresponsible and cost the lives and livelihood of many here in Florida. We need to correct the errors of the last 20 years which have hurt the people of Florida. We deserve better.”
Ryan’s plan includes expanding on the policy work done by the current commissioner, while also continuing to improve on efficiency and data. Ryan will: help energize the local agriculture industry in Florida by fighting for full legalization of cannabis and keeping all our crops healthy; support Florida's small business owners & farmers recovering from COVID 19 and other natural disasters; ensure that corporations respect nature as development must be balanced to protect our future; expand the duties of the Department towards online protections & advocacy; and to be a strong free-thinking voice on the Florida Cabinet, especially on issues of the death penalty, clemency, oversight of the state pension fund, and of major land-use decisions.; work towards taking the state into the future by embracing technology and advancing consumer protections.
