The covers depicting him as a clown are among the best known. Before he was elected president Vox had an article about five of their covers. This is from Feb. 10, 2016:

Today’s cover is a very different take on Trump. While it doesn’t feature his face it does have an ignominious quote. The cover certainly doesn't mock him. It sends a somber message juxtaposed with a stark reminder of how Donald Trump is responsible for an uncountable number of the 500,000 deaths which President Joe Biden memorialized yesterday. The cover basically marks Trump as a murderer without saying it in so many words.
The cover message is a powerful and salient comparison of the differences between President Biden and his predecessor. It packs as much punch in a few words and two pictures as the best written editorial. There are two photographs on the cover:

I am sure that the editorial decision to show a body bag being loaded into a vehicle was not made lightly. It is a high impact photo. I was struck by the body language of the two men and how they seem to be gazing at the person who died of Covid. Even the gloved hand by the door adds to the force of the picture. The rumbled body bag leaves it to our imagination to consider who might be inside. All we know it is an unknown victim who was loved by people who will never know their family member or friend are on the Daily News cover.
The article which is highlighted in black letters against a pale yellow background on the very bottom of the cover seems to remind us that Trump may be about to get some comeuppance. It is now a cliche to say it, but Al Capone was responsible for many deaths but he went to prison for tax evasion.
