As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Today the Pup and I are reading “Wild Sign” by Patricia Briggs, But because Mom hasn’t read this one yet, and I don’t want to spoil it for her, I’ll be talking about one Lursa and I Reread earlier this week. “The Nowhere Man” is the second Offering in Gregg Hurwitz’s Evan Smoak Series. Evan, a former deep black government asset has spent the last half of his life fighting for those who have nowhere else to turn, rescuing those who find themselves in hopeless, helpless situations. All that is required, is that they call his number, 1-855-2-Nowhere, and that when they are finally on the other side of the trouble they find themselves in, and Evan has given them back their lives, they pass his number on to -one- person, who needs his help.
In this book, the Nowhere man finds himself, the one in need of rescue, the one in need of help. On one side, he faces a man with no morals, a ruthless sociopath to whom the only value in the life of others, is how it may be used to extend his own. On the other side, he faces the people who have been hunting him, since he chose to leave government service. Will help come in time to save The Nowhere Man?
This has become one of my favorite book series. I will always recomend it to anyone in the market for a high paced thriller. Hurwitz tells a fantastic story that always leaves the reader eager for more. And as every entry is read by the very talented Scott Brick, there is a familiarity and pleasure to reading them, the first time, or the tenth.
