I was a child of the raging cold war — Russia bad, U.S.A. mostly good. It was very simple, and except for a brief time in the late 1990s and a more mature view of our country, that has been my long standing view. That’s still how I feel today.
I’m not a doctor, but it seems like a smart move. It’s important to communicate with the medical community across the country about who’s at risk. This appears to be a very, very rare problem.
Short thread here...
Oh my much maligned California, I’m so glad that, at this moment, we’re doing ok.
This is a fascinating article and it should be outside of the paywall. One of my takeaways, not mentioned in the headline here, is that our awful December/January/February, along with vaccine increases really helped drastically drop the number of new cases. People infected in those months were immune for awhile to the new variants. At the same time the number of vaccines being delivered shot way up.
The article states that California could actually reach herd immunity in mid-June! Wowza!!
I’m using disposables more frequently than I did before. This is a good tip.
LOL
