The Federal Grand Jury sworn in on January 8th in Washington, D.C. has handed down FELONY INDICTMENTS for five men who were involved in some of the most heinous violence we watched at the Capitol…
I’ve already told you about two of these perps, but Jack Wade Whitton Jr was finally arrested just this week...
Atlanta Journal-Constitition
Authorities believe Jack Wade Whitton Jr. was at the center of some of the most savage fighting between the pro-Trump mob and police at West Terrace entrance to the Capitol where rioters grabbed and stabbed at officers with flag poles and other implements.
In several videos posted online, the man believed to be Whitton is seen repeatedly jabbing at a police line with a crutch as the mob chants “Fight for Trump.” Another video showed him punching an officer, then grabbing him and dragging him into the crowd.
Body camera footage from a prone officer appears to show the same man, wearing a cap, repeatedly stomping on him as another man grabbed the officer’s leg. Further footage shows the man in the cap grabbing a fallen officer and dragging him into the depths of the mob.
The FBI put photos of Whitton on its website dedicated to identifying the Capitol rioters, and included him among those the agency was most eager to apprehend because of their attacks on police officers, three of whom were injured in the melee on the West Terrace steps.
The footage was shocking to see on January 6th and is still difficult to watch...
Here’s how The New York Times described the melee back in January...
Of all the scenes of violence, one of the most intense occurred during a struggle to breach a west-side door, during which multiple rioters dragged police officers out of a formation and assaulted them while they were trapped in the crowd.

One of the attackers, a man wearing a white and blue hat and a green jacket, reached into the doorway, grabbed an officer and dragged him out, aided by a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt.
As they pulled the officer down the stairs, face down, another rioter beat him with an American flag as the mob chanted “USA! USA! USA!”
Here’s another vivid description from The Washington Post last month….
A woman lay dying after being trampled by the mob on the steps of the Capitol on Jan. 6, and her friend was trying to carry her across the threshold to police officers guarding the building’s west side, prosecutors said. But within seconds, two of those officers would be dragged to the ground themselves and brutally beaten.
One lost his helmet, gas mask, baton and cellphone to the mob, prosecutors said, and was sprayed with a chemical irritant and needed staples to close a gash in his head. Another was dragged over the body of the first officer and then beaten with an American flag as he lay facedown in the crowd, according to court records.

“That specific entrance was the site of some of the heaviest violence . . . as the mob of rioters battled with police officers on-and-off from approximately 2:40 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.,” prosecutors wrote Tuesday in a detention memo for a former State Department employee accused of taking part in the mob. “Over a period of about two-and-a-half hours, groups of rioters came in waves and gathered in the archway and tunnel as they attempted to violently breach the police line to gain entrance into the Capitol.”
KATV
The FBI said in a court affidavit that Peter Francis Stager was identified after videos of the attack were posted on Twitter. One of the videos shows him repeatedly striking a Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police officer with a pole affixed to the U.S. flag. The officer had fallen on the ground while being attacked by a violent mob of President Donald Trump's supporters.
(snip)
Stager says in one of the videos: "Everybody in there is a treasonous traitor. Death is the only remedy for what’s in that building.”
(snip)
Stager faces a charge of obstructing, impeding, or interfering with a law enforcement officer lawfully engaged in the performance of his duties during the commission of a civil disorder.
NBC4 New York
Jeffrey Sabol turned himself in to FBI in Rye, New York, NBC 4 New York has learned. He is charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer or federal function.
According to the federal prosecutor, Sabol was seen on video allegedly pulling an officer down the stairs, while allowing another man to hit the officer with a flag. Additionally, he may have assaulted another officer in an attempt to get their baton.
Sabol allegedly tried to flee the country to Switzerland, according to the federal prosecutor. He also allegedly attempted suicide following the Jan. 6 event, which the federal government notes is a sign of possible guilt. Sabol, a geophysicist who worked diffusing ordinances (sic) for military, was hospitalized, before being admitted into a psychiatric center.

Louisville Courier Journal

(snip)

(snip)
