dewtx came up with a wonderful idea for a diary, I think, which I really appreciate.
Most often when you think of cookbooks you think of cooking the recipes in it. But there are many people, myself included actually, who like just reading thru the cookbook without actually baking what is inside.
As many of you might recall from my comments, I love, love, love to eat but I cannot cook. I will watch shows all the time on food network and other Discovery channels just to see people making various foods, some of which sound delicious, others sound beyond delicious, and others sound meh. My favorite show of this genre is Diners Drive Thrus and Dives… some of the food they feature makes my mouth water just thinking about them.
One of my favorite caregivers I have ever been blessed to have actually collects cookbooks. For birthday and other holiday gifts I would buy them for her. She might never cook from any of them but just reading them gave her excitement.
So, how about you? Is there a cookbook or multiple cookbooks that you do not cook from, but like reading nonetheless?
