Hunter Biden’s paintings have been making the news, not the least because of the prices he is charging for them. See stories and images here.
Admittedly his pictures took a lot longer to make than mine. All I did was stoop down and hold my new iPhone 12 Pro Max over a couple of storm drains in front of my house.
Here are two more photos from another drain:

I walked down my street to take this one:

Another storm drain which at first I wasn’t going to include here but then on consideration decided it made a certain kind of understated message. Click to enlarge it and see what you think.
The photos above aren’t really of sewers, they are storm drains. Sewer art sounded better for the title. I’ve been trying to get a good photo of a sewer through the little holes of top of the covers. This is the best I could do so far (click to enlarge):
These photos were taken with the amazing camera on the flagship new iPhone, the 12 Max Pro. (Read online camera guru Ken Rockwell’s review.) I was just trying to test what the camera could do in a low light situation without a flash and came up with these sewer photos.
Publishing this in a diary isn’t exactly “making the news” but it does put my photos online.
As for Hunter Biden, I wish him the best. Since buyers of the paintings identities are supposed to remain anonymous to prevent the appearance that they are trying to curry favor with President Biden this doesn’t mean they won’t sell even at prices up to $500,000. I don’t see how those who purchase the paintings can be prevented from telling their friends and thus it seem inevitable word will leak as to who bought them.
Some critics are impressed by how good they are, others not so much. Those I’ve read say the prices are inflated. Buying a Hunter Biden because of his notoriety only because of the whole Burisma thing which fortunately didn’t bring his father down like Trump hoped it would isn't the same as buying a Jim Carrey drawing or George W. Bush painting. Obviously Carrey is an accomplished actor and Bush was president. I assume people buy these for a variety of reasons including that they like the work, but no doubt some want to say they own a Jim Carrey or George W. Bush.
You, dear reader, can own you own Hal Brown for the cost it takes you to print it at home, or even in poster size if you want to have it enlarged as a store like Office Max. Just click to enlarge the photos you like and send them to your printer or put them on a thumb drive and bring them to a store.
