Amurderercan Tradition
I try to tell the truth when tasked by you.
But then a stone from Babel chokes my throat.
No word will come, no sound escape, a muse
Within silently screams—no song of hope:
You want the ground to cry, the field in tears,
The blood of wars your ancestors waged
To salt the earth with fury, which builds the stairs
That tempt the crowds to race towards their fate.
The truth isn’t enough between you and me—
The stories you rehearse empty the graves
Which grind their jaws to swallow the living.
Descend then the darkness you lust to see:
The doom and the pain of those you enslaved
Where everyone knows no one’s forgiven.
