Multiple sources confirm that North Carolina Senate Democratic candidate Cheri Beasley has seen several high-level departures from her campaign recently.
Last month, several top members of her finance team left her campaign. Last week, her campaign manager quit.
Beasley entered the race in April, quickly garnering a number of endorsements from state legislators and church leaders. She reported raising nearly $1.3m in her first quarter as a candidate.
So far, Beasley has kept a relatively low profile while reportedly focusing on fundraising.
In her previous campaign for state Supreme Court, Beasley reportedly saw the departure of multiple campaign managers. She ultimately lost by a razor-thin margin of 401 votes.
