Reminder-this man made decisions about how to deal with public safety, and for his own safety, took horse paste and died of Covid. Ivermectin, again, as has been clearly said numerous times:
A Georgia police officer who frequently posted anti-vaxx messages on Facebook and took an anti-parasitic drug instead of a vaccine has died of COVID-19. Captain Joe Manning, 57, of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office died on Wednesday after a short battle with the virus, according to local news station WSAV. Sheriff Chuck Moseley said, "Captain Manning was an integral part of our family and our hearts are broken. Our love and prayers go forward to his family," according to WSAV."
Your hearts are broken. Fine. I am more concerned that they are likely shocked. Your captain went onto Facebook advocating for like-minded persons to take horse paste, which by the way comes with all kinds of adventurous side effects in its own right, is not suitable for human consumption, and has caused poison control phones to ring off the hook.
Now there is a human grade of Ivermectin that a reputable physician can prescribe for specific science backed treatments, but this is not that.
This man told others to go to Wayne Feed, and purchase horse paste to fight Covid. Generally speaking, if the retail source of your medication has the words, “bait, tackle, feed, tractor, farm, equine, bass or ends with “and gun store” this is not a place to procure medicine from for human purposes.
How do I put this nicely, delicately, in a way that confers some level of empathy for the deceased while at the same time getting my point across? Rational humans do not dismiss works of decades long veterans in their field, such as Dr. Fauci, and opt for a product that is used to clean out horses of parasites.
Why?
.."OK Folks Wayne Feed and Seed has some liquid and paste Ivermectin get it while supplies last," Manning wrote on Facebook. Manning also wrote on Facebook that he had taken ivermectin himself, and criticized Facebook for disciplining him for spreading misinformation, The Independent reported.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said the drug does not help prevent or treat coronavirus, and this week issued a health advisory detailing an increase in severe illness caused by taking ivermectin.
Congrats Joe Manning, 57, on your 2021 Darwin Award nomination for thinking that something used to deworm a horse, which by its very nature, keeps a horse from constipation was your go-to method to stop Covid.
I mean we have monoclonal antibody treatments, and we have vaccines, but, no something that instantly takes 20 pounds off of a horse, that is what you thought was the way to go.
And go, you did.
