Facebook is a menace. COVID-19 is a menace. Conservatism is a cesspool. Together, those three ingredients have created a toxic stew of malevolent death and devastation. We can talk about all those things in the abstract, look at the numbers and statistics, and catch the occasional whiff of seditionist right-wing rhetoric. But I hadn’t really fully understood just how horrifying that combination of right-wing extremism, Facebook, and a killer virus was until I became a regular at the Herman Cain Awards subreddit. This series will document some of those stories, so we are aware of what the other side is doing to our country.
Today’s cautionary tale is Tommy.
I looked it up—it’s Helga Goebbels with Hitler. It’s fitting that it was her father, Joseph, who famously said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
This popular right-wing meme is top-five most stupid. They come so close to getting it. So close!
Why aren’t we giving away free insulin and chemo? Because assholes like these guys vote against candidates who would vote for universal health care. They think they have a “gotcha”—instead, they betray just how mind-numbingly stupid they are.
Tommy certainly had a Pelosi obsession.
No one says they don’t have a right to fly their racist treason flag. It just shows who they are.
For example, the LGBTQIA+ community never enslaved an entire race of people, then waged a war of secession against the country for outlawing owning people as property. Somehow, they managed to avoid doing anything like that.
Did I mention racist?
Let’s see …
COVID-19, as in 2019. Who was president? Donald Trump. Economy?
2020 looked pretty depression-y. Who was president? Donald Trump. “Race riots”? Black Lives Matter protests happened mostly under Trump. And gas lines? What gas lines? You mean the dumbfucks who were putting gas into plastic bags because of the gas pipeline hack—the same one that didn’t actually lead to any shortages?
It’s always projection with these people.
Wings? Angel? This hateful, rancid asshole? COVID-19 didn’t care about his white privilege card, and if there’s a heaven, I really hope it doesn’t either.
The worst part about this is that COVID-19 doesn’t kill anyone in one day. This guy ran around town without a mask infecting who knows how any other people, probably complaining about “allergies,” before taking himself to the ER way too late for any effective treatment.
He exited himself from the electorate; good for him. It’s the inevitable trail of disease he left behind him, not to mention his contributions on Facebook convincing people to laugh at this pandemic rather than taking it seriously and taking easy countermeasures (like masking and vaccinating) that is the real tragedy.
Best I can say about Tommy is that he didn’t clog up a hospital bed for long.
