There’s a saying about giving a man enough rope and he’ll hang himself. With Trump, there’s no need to bother; he snatches the rope out of our hands.
Trump Ridiculed For Stunning Admission About What He Wanted From Pence On Jan. 6
Former President Donald Trump on Sunday admitted in a written statement that he wanted his former Vice President Mike Pence to “overturn the election” and railed against efforts to put laws in place to prevent something like that from ever happening. [emphasis added]
Trump, who as usual doesn’t understand what Congress is doing, blasted both parties for working to tighten the Electoral Count Act, seeing it — as always — as revolving around him:
“If the Vice President (Mike Pence) had ‘absolutely no right’ to change the Presidential Election results in the Senate, despite fraud and many other irregularities, how come the Democrats and RINO Republicans, like Wacky Susan Collins, are desperately trying to pass legislation that will not allow the Vice President to change the results of the election?”
And now comes the money quote:
“Actually, what they are saying, is that Mike Pence did have the right to change the outcome, and they now want to take that right away. Unfortunately, he didn’t exercise that power, he could have overturned the Election!” [emphasis added]
Pence. Could. Have. Overturned. The. Election.
Trump said it out loud. Not “corrected.” Not “delayed.” Not “questioned.” The Mangled Mangohead actually expected the Vice President of the United States to overturn the election. Now maybe Trump doesn’t understand what “overturn” means. It means, in this case, to reverse an accepted result.
People noticed.
That one’s gotta sting. How about this one:

Trump isn’t satisfied with holding a smoking gun. He’s reloading and firing even while the sheriffs are watching and taking notes.
