Looking to put a good amount of space between themselves and the disaster that is Donald Trump and his conduct in the run-up to Jan. 6, a batch of bunk electors for the former president made a notable grievance on Friday.
First reported by Politico, the complaint by 11 of Georgia’s 16 fake electors for Trump, have said that they only filed “contingent” Electoral College ballots because they were warned it would be necessary if Trump won any of his lawsuits alleging widespread voter fraud.
If Trump or his cronies were using their fake elector certificates in any attempt to stop the certification of votes when Congress met on Jan. 6, that wasn’t something they would have any knowledge of. When they cast their ballots for the former president on Dec. 14, 2020, they did, they said, on the advice of their own legal teams and advice from Trump’s reelection campaign.
Election Night 2022 was full of surprises—mostly for people pushing the last couple months of traditional media narrative of a "red tsunami." The problem is that Americans are not super into the GOP. Markos and Kerry have been saying the media narrative was wrong for months, and on Tuesday, Daily Kos and The Brief team was validated. Time to celebrate!
