When my grandkids were younger, I used to crochet Christmas gifts for them, toys and scarves,
but they are getting too old and there are too many of them!! Last year I made these Yip Yips to replace the traditional stockings with their names. The kids absolutely love them, and it was hard to make them leave the Yips behind when they went home!! I had forgotten about them until we
opened the decoration boxes, and it was a delight to find them again. Seeing them hanging on the mantel makes me smile each time I walk into the room.
I don’t make very many Christmas ornaments; I like to make
snowflakes whenever I can,
and decorate some of the guys around the house. Ringo the Octopus is ready for the party, Baby Yoda is rockin his hat and Chuck the Duck decided to stick with his Viva Ukraine colors
The grands are growing up fast, soon they will scoff at Yip Yips and Christmas Eve treasure hunts, so I will cherish my gift of seeing Christmas through the eyes of little ones for the second time and appreciate every year!
I wish you all a lovely holiday and a peaceful New Year
