A federal jury has just found former Minneapolis Police Department officers J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane, and Tou Thao guilty of federal crimes for failing to stop their superior officer, Derek Chauvin, from murdering George Floyd. The jury convicted the defendants on all charges.

The officers were charged with violating Floyd’s constitutional rights by failing to stop Chauvin from murdering him. Sentencing will now follow—and then these three face a state-court trial on more straightforward murder-accomplice charges, as well.
