So far, my Olympics viewing has been the Curling prelim round-robins. Gripping action, mostly by the players on their brooms.
I won’t be paying for the Peacock streaming. Instead, I’ll just muddle along with the main channel and the USA channel.
Four Montana athletes, two from this area are at the Games. Jake Sanderson is a hockey player from Whitefish, though he currently in Covid lockdown in LA right now. With all the pros not playing for their countries due to Covid, it’s good to see college kids getting their chance.
Maggie Voisin is a slopestyle skier from Whitefish. She could have been the youngest Olympian ever in the Games at Sochi at age 15 but broke her leg just before and that was that. She’s had a good career in Winter X Games competitions. She was aced out of a Bronze in her second Olympics.
Good luck to all our athletes.
