Nicholas Languerand was quite proud of himself following the assault on our nation’s Capitol...

A man who identified himself as a believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory was sentenced on Wednesday to three years and eight months in prison for assaulting police officers at the Capitol during last year’s riot.

Languerand, 26, also told the judge that he was a QAnon follower. The conspiracy theory centers on the baseless belief that former President Donald Trump was waging a secret fight against a Satan-worshipping, child-sacrificing cabal of “deepstate” foes, prominent Democrats and Hollywood elites.

Languerand repeatedly assaulted police at the Capitol, throwing wood and an audio speaker at officers, and later bragged about his actions on social media, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Juman.
“The defendant was not caught up in the violence. He sought it out,” Juman said.
He posted his exploits to multiple social media platforms…

The criminal complaint shows that the FBI received a tip on Feb. 26 that Languerand had posted a picture on Instagram of himself at the U.S. Capitol riots on Jan. 6. The Instagram post states, “‘Remember this day forever.’ I love you guys. Ask me about the….”
The FBI agent investigating the case also came across a Reddit post with the same username as the Instagram account and found that the user posted the same picture and also posted a comment, according to the complaint.
The Reddit post stated, “My name is Nicholas Languerand and I am a proud Patriot. Where We Go One, We Go All. Only true fascists censor and slander the opposition. You are doing precisely what SS soldiers and sympathizers would’ve done to Jews in 1940s Germany. God is watching.”
According to his grandparents he had a difficult childhood and he believes in Jesus Christ. Boo fucking hoo...

Little River resident Nicholas Languerand, who is charged in connection with the Capitol Riots in January, had prior run-ins with police, according to federal prosecutors.

(FBI Special Agent Patricia) Norden said a woman out of Vermont, where Languerand lived before moving to South Carolina in January, had an order of protection against Languerand issued in 2019. Norden said Languerand stalked the woman and threatened to kill her and himself.
A prosecutor said that the suspect pointed a gun at three kids and threatened to harm police in other incidents. She added a search of his home in Little River lead to the finding of drugs, an AR-15, ammunition, and QAnon memorabilia.
One prosecutor said, "He (Languerand) is willing to be violent to enforce his views."

Languerand was a Private in the U.S. Army and served as an infantryman from November 2016 to September 2018, according to a U.S. Army Spokesperson.

A South Carolina man was sentenced to 44 months in prison for assaulting law enforcement with a dangerous weapon during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the U.S Attorney’s Office says.
Nicholas Languerand, 26, of Little River, was among rioters standing near the archway leading from the Lower West Terrace to the interior of the Capitol, according to court documents.
Languerand threw various objects at officers with the U.S. Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police Department, including an orange traffic barrier and two stick-like objects, the U.S Attorney’s Office says.
Investigators say based on the size and weight of the objects, as well as the speed and force with which Languerand threw them, the items were capable of inflicting serious bodily injury, U.S Attorney’s Office Spokesperson Bill Miller says.
