Esther Schwemmer, 56, and her friend Jennifer Parks, 61, were not among those in the front lines of Donald Trump supporters who overran police to breach the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. They had attended Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally and walked with the crowd over to the Capitol building, where they appear to have spent time outside taking pictures.

Schwemmer, a retired hairdresser, and Parks, both pleaded guilty to one count of parading, demonstrating, and picketing in a Capitol building, a misdemeanor that carries a potential sentence of six months in jail. Prosecutors had requested 30 days of home incarceration followed by three years of probation, plus 60 hours of community service and $500 in restitution. Both Schwemmer and Parks had asked for 12 months of probation only.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich, a Donald Trump appointee, sentenced Schwemmer to 24 months of probation and 60 hours of community service. It’s the exact same sentence as Parks received in December from U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, another Trump appointee.

The Morning Call
Annie C. Howell, 31, of Swoyersville previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of trespassing on restricted property in exchange for federal prosecutors dropping more serious felony charges against her, including obstructing an official proceeding of Congress.
Senior U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan imposed the sentence during a video hearing , saying that while Howell now appears remorseful she had to be punished for what took place.
(snip)
Prosecutors alleged that Howell tried to destroy evidence of her participation, deleting inculpatory Facebook posts and conducting a factory reset of her cellphone.
Kringer argued Howell should get a sentence of 60 days in jail — the same sentence received by another Pennsylvania participant, former Old Forge School Director Frank Scavo — because she deliberately went to the Capitol to participate in the riot, knowingly entered the building illegally and then proceeded to spread false information about what took place.

“Her role when she got there was about as minimal as it gets,” U.S. District Judge Paul L. Friedman said of Valerie Elain Ehrke, who made it only 15 feet into the halls of the U.S. government on Jan. 6.
(snip)
Her personal insurrection lasted only about a minute. “We made it inside, right before they shoved us all out," Ehrke posted to Facebook alongside a video of her the Capitol entrance. "I took off when I felt pepper spray in my throat! Lol.” A screenshot of the post appears in the government's sentencing memo, which emphasizes that Ehrke's Facebook profile image at the time consisted of a flaming letter Q, indicating her allegiance to the far-right conspiracy group QAnon.
Ehrke pleaded guilty in June to one count of parading, picketing or demonstrating in a Capitol building. In a letter to the court, Ehrke detailed her volunteer work and community projects in her small town of Arbuckle, California, and asked that her charges be dropped so she could continue to contribute positively to society.

Ehrke will also be required to do 120 hours of community service and pay $500 to the architect of the Capitol.

Nancy Barron of Patriot, Indiana, faces charges of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
According to FBI documents, Barron contacted the FBI on Jan. 7, 2021, to report that she had been inside the U.S. Capitol building the day prior when supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building while Congress was gathered to affirm the results of the 2020 presidential election results.
(snip)
Surveillance footage from inside the Capitol also revealed that Barron entered the Capitol through the East Rotunda doors at approximately 2:38 p.m. Barron even posted a video on her Facebook page where her face is visible and she announces that she had “made it in.” She continued filming inside the Capitol building for 4 minutes, according to the documents, where she is heard searching for Nancy Pelosi and chanting “Our house. This is our house.”
(snip)
The FBI conducted an in-person interview with Barron on Jan. 11, 2021, where agents said Barron admitted to being at the Capitol and confirming the outfit she wore that was captured in various footage. The FBI claimed Barron falsely alleged, however, that she was “pushed” into the Capitol and “attempted to find an exit as soon as she entered.”
The FBI continues to seek the public’s assistance in identifying individuals who participated in unlawful conduct during the Capitol Insurrection. New images are added frequently...

This is just a small sample… We have so many more insurrectionists to tell you about. Trust me, the DOJ has been working their asses off so hard it’s going to be tough catching up. It’s been a bit time consuming sorting the 765 charged so far to ensure we don’t skip a single one, but rest assured we’re working on it.
