Nineteen children were just gunned down in Texas, and the Republicans who run the place would rather focus on this—specifically, to address the “events of the past weekend.”
Don’t look at Texas’ indicted attorney general; he’s trying to do Elon Musk’s bidding by suing Twitter over its true number of troll accounts. You know, the stuff that’s really important for saving lives. And Congress is no better, where Republicans remain in the driving seat. By the time they’re done negotiating, we may see some extra funding for school doors. Maybe.
Joining me today on Daily Kos The Brief, our weekly show about politics, is Igor Volsky, one of the most passionate advocates for gun control you’ll find anywhere.
He’s the executive director of Guns Down America and author of the book Guns Down: How to Defeat the NRA and Build a Safer Future with Fewer Guns.
