“Christians” use the term, “God’s Will” a lot, to explain all sorts of horrible happenings. (Disclaimer: I am a nominal Lutheran, but am not a member of a cult.) So, when kids get killed at school, it’s God’s Will. When human caused climate change kills us all, it’s God’s Will, as predicted in the Bible. So, it appears that anything bad that happens to humans is God’s Will.
So why are they so adamantly opposed to abortion? If those fetuses are aborted, that must also be God’s Will, right? And their souls will live in eternity, having never suffered the pain of living on earth before being murdered or otherwise defiled by one of their fellow humans.
I’m very confused by this dilemma in logic. Could someone explain it to me?
Disclaimer #2: Yes, this is (partly) snark. But I am disgusted by the logical inconsistencies of these people.
Back to my garden now. The tomatoes this year are wonderful.
